The little Bronco, also known as the Bronco Sport, might undergo a significant update for the 2025 model year. Spy photos revealing the interior of the model have already started circulating online.
One of the first things that catches the eye is the immense screen found on the central console. It appears to be the same 13.2-inch screen already featured in certain versions of the Mustang. Additionally, the Bronco Sport 2025 seems to benefit from the latest version of the Sync 4 system.
Currently, the Ford Bronco Sport offers an 8-inch touchscreen, which suffices. However, it's far from very impressive, especially when compared to what the competition offers. Not to mention that the American manufacturer's SUV currently features the Sync system version 3.
A New Facelift?
Expectations include a new front and rear design, as is typically the case with Ford's mid-cycle refreshes. However, the spy photos circulating online currently offer no insight into this aspect. In fact, the only certain aspect about the exterior of the 2025 Bronco Sport is that it seems to have swapped its Falken WildPeak tires for Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires. This type of tire typically accompanies the Badlands version. Ultimately, it's possible that the American manufacturer's SUV might introduce new color options and new rims for certain versions.
No New Mechanics?
Although rare, Ford sometimes introduces new engines during a mid-cycle refresh. However, it's doubtful that this will be the case for the current-generation Ford Bronco Sport. At worst, Ford might add the same hybrid engine found under the hood of the Escape.
Currently, the Ford Bronco Sport offers two mechanical options, starting with a small 1.5-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine. This produces 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. If that's not powerful enough, the American manufacturer's SUV also offers a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque.
No official launch date has been confirmed by the American manufacturer as of now, but it's expected that the 2025 Ford Bronco will be unveiled later this year.
